SHEFFIELD go in search of their first away win of the season when they take on local rivals Scunthorpe on Sunday (5.30).

The Window Centre Tigers travel to the Eddie Wright Raceway high on confidence after their 54-38 home success over Redcar on Thursday.

Two time British Under-21 Champion Josh Bates dropped just one point to the opposition in that fixture.

And the Barnsley born racer is confident he can help the Tigers pick up their first points of the campaign on the road.

Said Bates: "There's no two ways about it - we're going to win!

"When I say that, it doesn't mean I think it's going to be easy because they've got a few good riders.

"But I'm feeling more on form now, (Josh) Grajczonek and Kyle (Howarth) are both flying and everyone is chipping in with some good points.

"Nobody can stop us at home at the minute - now it's time for us to use our confidence when we go away."

The Tigers will be without teenage reserve Jack Parkinson-Blackburn after he dislocated his shoulder at Owlerton on Thursday. His place will be taken by Workington racer Rob Shuttleworth.

The Scorpions also have their own injury problems. Rider replacement will operate for Ryan Douglas, who suffered concussion at Ipswich earlier in the week, while Peterborough and Swindon man Bradley Wilson-Dean will guest in place of Stefan Nielsen who sustained a broken collarbone in the same fixture.

SCUNTHORPE: Michael Palm Toft, Carl Wilkinson, Lewis Kerr, Ryan Douglas R/R, Josh Auty, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Josh Bailey

SHEFFIELD: Josh Grajczonek, Todd Kurtz, Lasse Bjerre, Josh Bates, Kyle Howarth, Rob Branford, Rob Shuttleworth.
