SHEFFIELD have been rocked by an injury blow to popular new signing Nathan Stoneman.

The Kent racer, who gave up full-time work to focus on the sport after landing a place at Owlerton, crashed out of last night’s defeat at Ipswich in his third outing.

Now he’s set for surgery after going to hospital following careful treatment at the track.

Club bosses have confirmed he has suffered a spiral fracture on his tibula, broken the back of his ankle and also has ligament damage in the ankle.

Tigers are now looking for a replacement ahead of tonight’s Owlerton clash with Berwick (7.30).
