IN-FORM Sheffield man Josh Bates believes there’s no reason why they can’t continue their winning streak when they head to Redcar tonight (Friday, 7.30).

The Window Centre Tigers are currently four points clear at the top of the Championship table courtesy of seven straight league wins.

And after bagging his highest score of the campaign with a 16 point haul in Thursday’s 56-36 home win over Workington, Bates admits he is riding with plenty of confidence behind him.

“I just feel really good right now and so do all of the other boys in the team as well,” Bates said.

“I’m having a really good patch at the minute, my gating has improved and it’s helping my scores too.

“Redcar’s never an easy place to go to because they’ve got some hard riders in their team.

“But we’ve got a great team atmosphere this season and hopefully we can beat them to keep our run going.”

The Tigers have booked Glasgow racer Richard Lawson in place of No.1 Josh Grajczonek who suffered a knock to his foot and ankle during a spill at Owlerton on Thursday.

Danish star Lasse Bjerre continues to rest his knee injury with rider replacement in operation.

REDCAR: Ben Barker, Jonas B Andersen R/R, Jason Garrity, Ellis Perks, Charles Wright, Tobias Busch, Danny Ayres.

SHEFFIELD: Richard Lawson, Todd Kurtz, Lasse Bjerre R/R, Josh Bates, Kyle Howarth, Jan Graversen, Georgie Wood.
