TODD Kurtz will sit out Sheffield’s two crunch clashes with Glasgow this week.

The popular Aussie ace hurt his hand when making a guest appearance at Swindon on Monday and has been advised to rest up.

It means he misses Thursday’s meeting at Owlerton and the return trip to Scotland on Saturday.

Glasgow have also been hit by the absence of Nike Lunna who crashed heavily in Sweden on Tuesday.

Tigers co-owner Damien Bates said: “Todd has a badly swollen hand and there is no way he could hold the bike properly.

“He’s got to have an x-ray when the swelling goes down and we can only hope there is nothing serious as we need a fully fit team for the business end of the season.

“It’s a big night for us and we need all our fans backing us in force. I expect some great racing between two top teams.”

SHEFFIELD WINDOW CENTRE TIGERS: Josh Grajczonek, Todd Kurtz R/R, Lasse Bjerre, Josh Bates, Kyle Howarth, Jan Graversen, Georgie Wood.

GLASGOW: Richie Worrall, Dan Bewley, Aaron Summers, Nike Lunna R/R, Richard Lawson, Tom Perry, Jack Smith.
