SHEFFIELD co-promoter Damien Bates insists they are going all-out for promotion to the top flight.

The SGB Championship title winners will face off with Leicester in a bid to earn a spot in the SGB Premiership.

It promises to be a tough test for the Window Centre Tigers as they aim to cap off a historic season in perfect fashion.

They will host the first leg at Owlerton on Monday (7.30) before heading to Beaumont Park on Wednesday (7.30).

And Bates says they are determined to come out on top to test themselves in the top tier in 2018.

“We’re going for promotion, 100%,” Bates declared.

“We knew at the start of the season that this would be the case if we won the league. That was what we were aiming for, and now we want to go all the way.

“It’s a shame from my point of view it’s ended up against Leicester, but from a Sheffield perspective we’ll be doing everything we can to get promoted.

“We did a great job to win the league, it was a fantastic achievement and to get promoted as well would be the icing on the cake.

“If we did go up we’d give it everything we’ve got to try and be successful and make the most of it.”
